Second Life is a great place to learn, but I'm becoming more convinced that it's not a good place to teach.
The teaching perspective implies a course, and the course implies that the students will be required to attend and do something. But the barriers to entry in terms of technology and disability are such that I don't think the environment is ready for prime time.
